Back on board

I am back. I feel more in control. The farm seems to be back to normal. The dogs are normal. Even the sheep are normal. The ducks have never been normal. They really "quack" me up. They wander all over the place. Their favorite place this week is my neighbors front field. Toby tried to round them up and they scooted through the fence into the pasture. My neighbor gets a big kick out of them. I guess they "quack' her up too.

Fly has started obedience. He was neutered just over a month ago. He sure has settled down. He is the oldest dog in the class. He is 3. I hope this obedience thing doesn't mess up his herding. It did with Tilly a bit. Sometimes I need her on my right side and she hesitates. There is one dog in the class that is very aggressive. Fly is a bit, but he doesn't really go after dogs. He waits he sniffs and then he growls and gets ugly. That girl with the dog is going to have to get a grip on him or Bryan will.

Today is an absolutely beautiful day. It is warm and sunny. I bet this will be one of our last weekends like this for a while. The time change is tomorrow. I hate this changing time business. It isn't the having to move the clocks. It is the fact that it will be dark when I go to work and dark when I get home. I used to use the few minutes of light when I got home for checking the animals out in the field.

Tomorrow, 2 of my friends and I will have a small dinner to celebrate our birthdays. I haven't gotten them anything yet. I can't think of anything. I am hoping for inspiration before tomorrow.
